Two phrases show up in almost every Litbuy conversation: Litbuy links and Litbuy product links. They are related but not the same. This guide untangles them so you know what to expect when someone shares one, and it covers a safe workflow for saving and sharing at scale.

Litbuy links: the general category

A “link” is any URL that points into the catalog — a tab, a section, a photo folder, a row. Links live on the Litbuy Spreadsheet Hub and get shared in messages, threads and personal notes. A well-formed link opens directly to what it references; a bad one drops you on a generic landing page and forces you to search. Litbuy product links: the row-level pointer

A “product link” is the specific URL for one row inside the catalog. It is the most useful format for saving and sharing. Product links usually include the tab name and a row identifier — for example a shoe link will name the Shoes tab and the sneaker model. Anatomy of a good product link

  • Points to the sheet or catalog domain, never to a random shortlink service.
  • Opens directly on the row, not on the tab index.
  • Preserves any query parameters that make the photo folder visible.
  • Works on mobile without opening a login prompt.

Sharing links without breaking them

The most common way to break a Litbuy product link is to copy it from a messaging app that has “helpfully” wrapped it in a tracking prefix. When you share, always paste the raw URL and let the receiver's app render its own preview. If a link ever looks suspicious, retype the destination by hand — the sheet uses predictable URL structures.

A save-for-later flow that scales
